Berea a great site for national MARC tour

Often we become so familiar with a place we forget how special it is. Berea is an excellent example. Thanks to Jerry, Martha and Emily Baker our group was able to take a fresh look at the unique little town with the idea of including it in our tour options for the hundreds of visitors that will be attending the MARC Membership Meet in 2006. The route from Lexington can be very scenic and driven at a leisurely pace for a Model A. Once there an abundance of choices to eat, shop, and site see will keep a visitor busy all day. The Model A Ford looks right at home parked in front of the depot or along the street in front of the historic college campus. Parking is not a problem and neither is exploring the area with a nice walk. The new Artisan Center displays examples and live demonstrations of the rich talent for which this area is well known.
If we want to show our visitors the best of what our region has to offer Berea would definitely be a fine example. Our region is fortunate to have so many interesting things to see and do that can easily be reached driving the Model A. Hopefully many of our visitors will be driving their trusty old Ford.
